Orlando Blanco and Derek Wilczynski Announce Formation of Blanco Wilczynski P.C., Opening of New Mt. Clemens Office

Troy, Mich. (Oct. 18, 2004) - Orlando Blanco and Derek Wilczynski today announced the formation of Blanco Wilczynski P.C. Blanco and Wilczynski serve as partners in the law firm, with headquarters in Troy, Mich. and a new office location in Mt. Clemens, Mich.

"Combining our knowledge base and experience makes Derek and I a very powerful team," said Blanco. "This new partnership allows us to provide comprehensive legal counsel and services to each of our clients."

Blanco is an experienced litigator with more than 20 years of trial experience. He specializes in representation of specialty insurers and policyholders as well as self-insured clients, including paramedic and ambulance liability defense, automobile liability defense, car rental companies, and related insurance coverage matters. He also serves as regional counsel for the Eastern District of American Medical Response Ambulance Company National Counsel, and is responsible for supervising litigation in the Eastern region consisting of 27 states in the southeast and eastern United States.

Prior to entering private practice in 1995, Blanco served as a field litigation attorney for CIGNA Insurance Company's Detroit-area office. In that capacity, he handled wrongful death claims and cases involving motor vehicles, premises liability, product liability, commercial litigation, with an area of concentration in Emergency Medical Services and medical malpractice.

Wilczynski maintains a full-service legal practice, focusing on litigation, employment law, felony and misdemeanor, criminal, family law, small business management, immigration and estate planning. Wilczynski previously served as associate attorney with a general practice focus at Johnson, Rosati, LaBarge, Aseltyne & Field, P.C. in St. Clair Shores, Mich. While in this role, Wilczynski developed significant trial experience serving as the Assistant Municipal Attorney for Harper Woods and Richmond Township in the State of Michigan.

Wilczynski is a member of the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers' Section of the Macomb County Bar Association, as well as a member of the general section of the Macomb County Bar Association. He also is an active member of the Advocates Polish American Bar Association, the Polish Century Club and Rotary International.
